Happy Resurrection Sunday! I also wish all of your families a Happy Easter, but I wanted to focus first on the importance of today…the FACT that our Lord and Savior rose from the grave. Without this event, the plan of salvation would have been incomplete, and we would have no hope for our own resurrection unto life. So, once again Happy Resurrection Sunday! He is risen! He is risen indeed!
As you go about your day today, whatever that may mean in this time’s circumstances, challenge yourself to remain focused on what this awesome event means to us, to you, to all of humanity. Read the accounts of our Lord’s resurrection in Matthew chapter 28; Mark chapter 16; Luke chapter 24; and John chapter 20. It will bring joy to your heart, encouragement to your soul, and feed your spirit which by now, may be feeling a bit downtrodden. Reflect upon that time in Israel, when hope seemed lost, Jesus was gone, the disciples scattered, and the fledgling church being persecuted. Then…… it happened! The greatest event in human history! The very thing Jesus talked about, but his followers found incomprehensible. He arose! And not only did Jesus rise, He made himself known to a multitude of people! They saw Him! They talked with Him! They worshipped with Him!
In this time of distress, when we are being challenged; are scattered from our worship by a virus; when we need encouragement and a boost to our spirit, dwell on Jesus. See Him in your heart. Talk to Him today. Worship with Him today, in whatever way you and your family can. Thank Him for what He did to complete the plan of Salvation! And rejoice that He is risen! I can get excited just thinking about it!
May the Lord richly bless you today. Dawn and I love you all and wish you a wonderful Resurrection Sunday!
